Bella Samui Beach Villa is one of the island’s newest beachfront luxury villas. Secluded, private, sybaritic with incredible vistas barely do justice to the elegance and thoughtfulness of the location and modern design of this villa.

Situated on the peaceful south-west corner of Samui at one edge of Thong Krut village, Bella Samui Beach Villa is perfect for families, friends’ reunions, special occasions and a desire to be far from the madding crowd.

Entering the villa through Balinese style antique wooden doors begins to give a sense of what is to come. But it’s not until you meander through the well-maintained garden and onto the poolside decking that everything comes into focus.

Your senses will be over-whelmed initially, especially your eyes, as you gaze out beyond the 15 metre by 4 metre infinity pool, take in the curving, sandy beach and looking out across the ocean. Right in front of you is the small, hilly island of Koh Taen and to the left the tiny islet of Koh Mat Sum, also known as ‘Pig Island’. It’s just a 15 minute long-tail boat ride out to the islands and the pier is a five minute or so stroll along the beach.

Starting with the impressive pool and expansive decking area. And the sunken sala with underwater stools around it. There’s no better place to enjoy a sumptuous lunch or early evening cocktails and you don’t even have to get out of the pool.

Set beside, and over, the swimming pool is the indoor living area and it has a ‘Wow Factor’ all of its own.

There’s a fully equipped modern European kitchen should you wish to create a few dishes of your own and your chef has their own Thai kitchen to the rear for preparing your meals.

Around the kitchen island are stools, a perfect spot for children to eat their breakfast, and then up a few stairs and you are onto a glass-floored dining room that sits above the pool and has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sea.

Looking down to the pool from your chair is a little breathtaking at first but so very cool. And when the coloured lights in the pool are lit up in the evenings it’s an even more special place to dine. And it’s unique. You won’t find a restaurant or resort on Samui that has over-water dining. You will feel like you are floating in so many ways.

A few steps down from the open-plan kitchen is a wonderful sunken lounge that is on eye-level with the pool. Kids will love diving into the pool and waving to you underwater as you relax on the sofas. There’s a large TV in the lounge and a sound system and speakers inside and around the pool and you can play your own music by Bluetooth through the speakers.

On the decking there are outdoor tables and chairs for al fresco dining, a BBQ, plenty of sun-loungers with large umbrellas for shade, a hammock over the pool, an outdoor shower, kayaks and a paddle board for fun on the ocean waves, trees with young green coconuts ready to pick and direct access onto the beach.

The main bedroom overlooks the deck, the pool and the ocean and it has an outdoor Jacuzzi in the front for all to enjoy.

Each of the five bedrooms are huge and have similar designs and layout though each has small differences.

Apart from the kids room all the others have large double-beds facing the ocean, wall-to-ceiling windows and doors to maximise the views and every room is air-conditioned. There are built in wardrobes and storage spaces with robes, slippers and safety deposit boxes. Every room also has sofas that can double as a pull-out bed, large wall-mounted TVs (the main bedroom has two), Nespresso machine and kettle, and quirky fridges that on first glance look like retro Marshall speakers from the 1950s with dials and switches giving an authentic look that may fool you at first.

Each room has colourful wall paintings and distinct Thai and Asian ornamentation that art lovers will enjoy. All the rooms are en-suite with large shower rooms or bathtubs with shower, WC, bidet, sinks (two have double sinks) and all the gels, soaps and toiletries you would expect. And there are full-length mirrors for that last-minute look.

Just behind the front two bedrooms is an extensive two-storey building that has two double bedrooms on the top floor with balconies and excellent ocean views.

On the ground floor is a fully-equipped gym, a spa/massage area and the very spacious kids’ room that can sleep four. This room has two single beds and two exceptionally comfortable sofa beds, a large wall-mounted TV, fridge, en-suite shower room and plenty of storage space. Again there are a number of vibrant paintings on the wall for children and an ornate Balinese wooden door that opens out onto the spa area.

A large mat over a pond covers this area with water cascading down the back wall and when used for massages, yoga or spa treatments soothing music can be played softly in the background. A door on the other side leads into the gym which has free weights, a running machine, cycling machine, multigym, mats and a fridge. There is also a pool table, dart board, TV and a WC.

Bella Samui Beach Villa is also suitable for intimate events (up to 25 people) such as Weddings, Renewal of Vows Ceremonies, birthdays and get-together parties. The beach or the decking around the pool can be used for ceremonies and dinner and dancing at night with more than enough space for a DJ, dance floor and entertainers. And with no neighbours either side you’re not going to disturb anyone.

Many guests spend virtually all their time in and around the villa and your Villa Manager will happily do any shopping you require. Thong Krut village is a few minutes’ walk along the beach with Italian, French, Thai and Seafood restaurants, delis and coffee shops and a convenience store. It’s a beautiful walk anytime but the beach and your villa are lit up with candles and lights in the evening making for spectacular photographs at sunset and beyond.
