Ban Mekkala is in a stunning location and the ultimate getaway with it's spacious design combined with the luxury modern technology and high quality furnishings creating a hideaway for those seeking a relaxing retreat in one of the finest villas on Koh Samui.
An imposing entrance opens to reveal a truly contemporary home and upon entering the villa compound, you are enticed into the residence over a peaceful stepped pond filled with Koi fish and the stunning view through the property to the glistening ocean in the distance.
The main entrance to the villa leads directly into the cavernous interior of the combined living, dining and kitchen areas. This grand room situated on the second level of the main house creates a laid-back feel through the use of space, open-plan design and the stunning view that can be enjoyed from all angles through full length windows which run across the expanse of the building.
Contained within this area is the enormous gourmet kitchen, a twelve seat dining table, and the living/entertainment area furnished with modern Thai decor and a state-of-the-art audio/visual system equipped with plasma TV and surround sound technology which is linked to every part of the house (inside and out) so your favourite tunes can be enjoyed from wherever you are!
You leave this area through a large covered balcony and move down to the ground level via a staircase overlooking a waterfall feature that flows into an internal courtyard below.
This level contains the six bedrooms consisting of three different styles (two bedrooms per design) with the ground floor of the main building houses bedrooms five & six and also a steam room.
Moving down the established garden the remaining 4 bedrooms are in individual pavilions. Bedrooms three and four are the first two on either side of the central lawn and these rooms benefit from an additional outdoor shower in their own private courtyards.
Bedrooms one and two are the Master Bedrooms and the largest of all with the added their own personal surround sound stereos that can be isolated from the system in the main house.
At this far end of the property you'll find the villa's large swimming pool with incredible sunken sun benches. Adjacent to the pool on the lawn is an open-sided sunken sala furnished with a dining set with seating for 14 persons and features a swim up bar and sunken stools set in a shallow pool area with a barbecue and outdoor kitchen complimenting this for the ultimate outdoor dining experience. Fai, and the entire staff made us feel welcomed and relaxed from the minute we arrived to this beautiful, private haven. It felt as if we were in a 5 star resort. The food was top notch and the service was exceptional. I am sad to leave such a beautiful place but will be happy to come again!

Shared a luxurious stay at lovely Ban Melaka to celebrate a friends 50th....and it
was perfect. The villa is gorgeous, exceeding all expectations. The pool is huge
and perfectly maintained. Each meal was better than the next. The staff was
what truly made it special led by the incomparable Fai. They made the birthday
celebration iconic and our stay one of the best vacations I’ve ever been on.

Our stay at Ban Mekkala was fantastic. We are a picky group of 8 people and
before our arrival I had multiple questions and requests, all of which were
addressed. They arranged for our airport transfers which were seamless so as
soon as we arrived, we were in good hands. The villa itself looks like the photos
but also exceeds them once you are there in person. The staff was excellent and
led by Fai, who is spectacular. This group of people is what really made the trip
such a success. Even things not related to the villa were handled (a tricky
luggage lock? Fixed. A broken fingernail? Nail glue secured.) The villa arranged
our driver & van for multiple excursions and it always went smoothly. The chef is
excellent. Every morning was a delicious breakfast. For the lunches and dinners
we had there, we selected different options each time and all were delicious. I
cannot overemphasize what a beautiful, spacious, tranquil place this is, made
more special by the wonderful people.
CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENTS TO RESERVATION
If it becomes necessary to cancel the whole or any part of the booking by the Guests, TLN must be notified in writing in advance (email is acceptable). The cancellation will take effect from the date of the written confirmation is received by TLN.
The following cancellation charges will be applied depending on when the notification of the cancellation is received in writing by TLN and the period of stay in the Villa by the Guests:

3.1 Amendments
An admin fee of USD 50 will apply in the event of refund and amendment to reservation. The above cancellation charges also apply if TLN cancels the booking due to non-payment of the balance. If the dates of the booking require to be changed or amended, this may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and cancellation charges may apply.
Any change to the original reservation is subject to the approval of TLN. An early departure penalty will be subject to negotiation with TLN local Representative’s Manager.
Laem Sor is in the deep south and part of the area of Bang Kao with Laem Set to the east and a headland to the west beyond which is the fishing village of Thong Krut.
The area is home to the golden pagoda built many years ago and is perched right on the waters edge on Laem Sor beach with a 'meditation' forest with seats and tables nearby should you wish to remain and enjoy the stunning views of the neighbouring islands - or even have a picnic.
The unspoiled quiet sandy beach is bordered by an increasing number of luxury villas with 5 star services and offering the same scenic ocean views. A few rustic beach bars can be found along the beach.
