Baan Mika is tropical luxury living at its very finest sitting prominently in a prime beachfront location with some of the best sunset views on the island. This large and impressive villa is surrounded by an antiqued style wall with an entrance through a large wooden gate onto a sand-washed platform and into an internal courtyard. The area is centred by a large rectangular blue-tiled swimming lap pool that runs almost the whole length of the villa and right down to the beach incorporating a children's pool and a beach side jacuzzi after which is decking furnished with sun loungers and parasols.
The villa accommodation is set out in 6 vaulted ceiling pavilions either side of the swimming pool within this inner courtyard with the interior living areas occupying the rear two pavilions. The pavilions consist of a lounge with a sumptuous sofa, TV area, dining room with dining table and seating for 12 persons and a kitchen with a feature copper coloured extractor fan overhanging the cooking island.
The middle two pavilions have two en-suite bedrooms with outside areas with bathtub and shower and each bedroom has interconnecting doors for use if necessary and the two master suites with en-suites with bathtubs with sea views are in the pavilions closet to the sea.
On the grass lawn in front of the villa and overhanging the beach are two thatched salas one of which provides an outdoor lounge area with sturdy wooden outdoor cushioned furniture and the other a kitchen, BBQ a bar and a dining area with large table seating 12 persons.
A few steps down finds you on the white sands of the the quiet and beautiful palm fringed Plai Laem beach which is not a swimming beach being so shallow and almost completely free of vendors but the area is made up of stunning views over the neighbouring islands.
Baan Mika is a well thought out property. With six large bedrooms the property has provided ample space to allow each guest their own privacy. However the pool, the dining areas and the lounge areas are all more than big enough to be used comfortably by all the guests at once.
The villa is located in the popular north east of Koh Samui just 5 minutes from the popular beaches and villages of Choeng Mon and Big Buddha and 10minutes drive to the lively town of Chaweng and the quaint "Old Fishermans" village of Bophut.
